The SKRIVER - Thoughtfully designed with both finish carpenters & cabinet installers in mind. Unlike most scribing tools that are difficult to precisely adjust or must be locked into 1/8" increments, the SKRIVER features quick and precise adjustment to any measurement between 1/32" to 1 1/8". Simply loosen the adjustment knob, pivot to the desired measurement (using the imperial scale on the back), and lock it down.

Alternatively, the adjustment knob can be left slightly loose, and the amount of scribe can be adjusted on the fly with one hand. A lock washer provides enough tension to keep the pencil rigid while you mark your line.

Using an on-board modified allen wrench, it can be used to scribe detailed profiles, such as masonry or crown moulding. Additionally, the position of the pencil can be adjusted when needed to scribe a door to an existing jamb, or a panel to an opening.

Designed to be used with a mechanical pencil, the time spent sharpening a traditional pencil is eliminated and lines are always sharp.

It is compatible with most mechanical pencils, but we recommend the Pentel P209, or P207, as these pencils performed the best in our testing. As such, the tool has been designed & calibrated with these models in mind. The accuracy of the imperial scale may be off if you choose to use a different pencil.
